Dry Skin and Hair
An effective way to treat dry hair and skin is to add oil with essential fatty acids to your pet's diet. Salmon, Flaxseed, safflower, peanut, and sunflower are examples of oils that contain all the essential fatty acids. Dogs can be given
one to three teaspoons with each meal, depending on size. But remember that more is not better since oils are quite fattening.
Damaged dry hair
A nourishing conditioner for dry or damaged hair which can be used for all hair types.
Separate the white of an egg from the yolk, whip it to a peak. Add 1 Tablespoon of water to the yolk and blend until the mixture is creamy. Then mix the white and yolk together. Wet hair with warm water, remove the excess moisture, and massage the mixture to your dogs hair with your fingertips. Massage gently until the froth is worked into in. Let site for 10 minutes and then rinse the hair with cool water until all of the egg is washed away.
Dry Scalp
Create a 50/50 mixture of apple cider vinegar and water. Massage into the skin, let dry for a few minutes and then thouroughly rinse. Repeat the process daily until the problem disappears.
