Never Give a Command to Your Dog you can't Enforce

One very important rule when teaching your dog concepts and during the training process it to never give a command you can't enforce or where you can heavily influence the result.  

Examples

• When teaching the dog the command "Come", never say the command unless the dog is on a long leash.  Never.
• When teaching the dog to handle, always block the wrong direction with trellises
• Don't tell the dog to drop something unless you are within arms reach
